Wholesome Herbal Nutrition for Growing Kids
From one mama to another because I know how hard it can be.

As a mom, I know just how tough it can be to get solid nutrition into our little ones, especially when they’re picky, tired, or going through one of those “toast and air only” phases. That’s why I created Little Roots: a gentle, vitamin and mineral-rich tea made from herbs I grow and trust. It’s an easy, delicious way to sneak in daily nourishment and plant medicine, whether your kiddo sips it warm, iced, or even frozen into popsicles.

This blend is safe enough for everyday use, and kids actually enjoy the taste. It is sweet, tart, minty, and mellow, all in one. It’s like a multivitamin in a mug, but made by nature (and a fellow mama), not a lab.

Every Ingredient Chosen with Love:

Calming and uplifting, Lemon Balm supports emotional regulation, focus, and sleep. It’s also antiviral and supports a healthy gut microbiome. Great for sensitive, active, or anxious little ones.

Nettle is a powerhouse herb full of calcium, iron, magnesium, vitamin K, and trace minerals needed for growing bones, strong blood, and a healthy immune system. It’s one of the most nourishing plants on the planet.

Gentle on the tummy and deeply restorative for the nervous system, Oatstraw offers B vitamins, silica (great for hair, skin, nails), calcium, and magnesium. It helps with emotional regulation, restful sleep, and strong development.

Known as the “miracle tree,” Moringa is packed with protein, iron, calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C. It supports energy, eye health, brain development, and immune resilience.

Hibiscus is a beautiful red flower that adds a tangy, fruity flavor kids love while delivering vitamin C, antioxidants, and gentle support for digestion and circulation.

Cooling and sweet, Spearmint supports digestion, eases bloating, and helps mask the "green" flavor of the other herbs so your child actually wants to drink it.

One of the richest sources of natural vitamin C, Rosehips also contain bioflavonoids that help the body absorb nutrients more effectively. They support skin health, immunity, and collagen production (for strong connective tissue and bones).

Gentle, soothing, and sunshine-bright, Calendula supports lymphatic flow, gut health, and radiant skin. It also helps the body detox and heal naturally which is especially helpful for kids prone to eczema, diaper rashes, or frequent colds.

 How to Use:

Steep 1 tsp of tea per 8 oz hot water for 5–10 minutes. Strain and sweeten if desired. Serve warm or chilled.
Kid-friendly ideas:

  • Mix with a splash of juice for picky sippers

  • Freeze into herbal popsicles for summer

  • Use in a sippy cup or thermos for school

  • Add a little honey (age 1+) and lemon for a fun teatime treat

My own children drink this regularly, not because I force it, but because they actually like it. And I feel better knowing I’m nourishing them in the background, even on the days they skip veggies or say no to dinner.

It’s peace of mind in a cup. And that’s something every mama deserves.
